AYLESBURY GREYHOUND STADIUM

Greyhound racing took place on the outskirts of the Buckinghamshire town of Aylesbury in the village of Hartwell. The track was situated on the Oxford Road and held its inaugural meeting on Saturday 24th June 1933. Racing regularly took place 3 nights each week and the track had good facilities, including a bar and a tote.

Racing continued at the track until mid-way through World War II, holding its final meeting in 1942. It closed because the land was needed as a camp to house Italian prisoners from the War.
